HFM representatives in EnergyLab's Smart Buildings panel sessions
HFM was recently invited to join EnergyLab’s panel sessions on their Smart Building Series.

Clean energy
EnergyLab is doing a great job promoting clean energy which is a key component to achieve Australia’s net-zero emissions goal by 2030.
At HFM, our engineers are continuously developing cost-effective solutions for a better future. However, it’s important to remember that renewable energy is not the only solution when it comes to saving energy.
Typically, before installing renewable systems at any site HFM would recommend conducting an energy audit to identify energy efficiency opportunities, as there is no point using the electricity that a brand-new solar PV system produces for purposes that could have been completely avoided.
An on-site inspection coupled with analysis of your sites’ historical performance will enable HFM to provide you with a prioritised list of action items to improve performance and reduce costs. This will include an initial energy efficiency assessment of whether solar PV is a viable option for your site.

The takeaway message of these events was that both Automation & Demand-side Management can help buildings significantly improve their energy efficiency.
